When is goku revived after cell

In some cases, at least. While not the first major death in Dragon Ball that honor goes to Bora, Krillin is the first main character to die over the course of the series. Krillin spends the entirety of the Piccolo Daimao arc dead, a timespan that lasts roughly two days— killed May 7th and revived May 9th. Roshi loses his life attempting to seal Piccolo away with the Mafuba. Like the rest of the cast, Roshi is only dead for less than a day in this instance.

Like Roshi, Chaozu is only dead for a single day. Chaozu dies again in the Saiyan arc, this time killing himself to blow up Nappa. Goku launched a Ki Blast into the air before being hit, the blast landing on and resuscitating his body. In an alternate timeline where Zamasu was not destroyed by Beerus, the Supreme Kai Apprentice killed Goku and his family. Lastly, Goku died from a heart virus during Future Trunks timeline. His corpse was later seen by Gohan during the Frieza Saga. Jeice : Killed by Vegeta. After recovering from his fight with Recoome, Vegeta was stronger than ever. After he was done toying with Jeice, he broke his ribs with a karate chop and then completely obliterated him with an energy blast to the face, point blank.

Was later revived with the Dragon Balls. Dende : Killed by Frieza. Frieza saw that Dende had the power to heal, so he killed him with a finger beam to eliminate this threat. Vegeta : Killed by Frieza. Frieza mercilessly beat him up, and then when Goku came and Vegeta talked about Frieza being beaten by a Saiyan, Frieza killed the Saiyan Prince with a Death Beam through the chest just to shut him up.

Before dying, he told Goku to destroy Frieza, but was later revived with the Dragon Balls. Krillin: Killed by Frieza. Frieza lifted him into the air with his mind and blew him up , inducing Goku's first Super Saiyan transformation. Guru: Died of old age. His body disappeared after death, and he appointed Moori as the next Eldest Namek. Few unnamed people were killed by Salt and Mustard. Bird-like Frieza Soldier : Killed by Vegeta with an energy blast. Vegeta was out exterminating any followers of Frieza while searching for Goku.

Salt : Killed by Gohan. Gohan got angry at him for nearly killing Krillin with an energy blast, and Gohan vaporized the Spice Boy with a Masenko. Mustard : Killed by Gohan.

Gohan was still in his rage after he killed Salt, and Mustard ran at Gohan in revenge but Gohan kicked him and then destroyed him with a Masenko. Two unidentified people are killed when they are attacked by animals infected with the Black Water Mist.

Vinegar : Killed by Gohan. Gohan was angry that Vinegar beat up Krillin, and that he was about to fall to his death over the edge of the lookout, and Spice and Vinegar were attacking Gohan, so Gohan unleashed his hidden powers and shot two separate energy blasts , destroying both Spice and Vinegar at the same time. Spice : Killed by Gohan. Gohan was angry that Vinegar beat up Krillin, and that he was about to fall to his death over the edge of the lookout, and Spice and Vinegar were attacking Gohan, so Gohan unleashed his hidden powers and shot two separate energy blasts, destroying both Spice and Vinegar at the same time.

Frieza's soldiers - killed by Future Trunks ' sword. Unnamed Captain: Killed by Frieza , who pierced him with his hand from behind after he retreated from Future Trunks. Frieza : Killed by Future Trunks. He chopped him in half with his sword, sliced him to pieces, and shot an energy blast that reduced him to dust in midair In alternate future, he was killed by Goku.

King Cold : Killed by Future Trunks. Future Trunks gave him his sword , but the sword did not improve King Cold's chances. Trunks shot an energy blast through his chest, sending him flying into a rock wall, which was now covered with blood. He begged Trunks for his life, but Trunks, knowing how Frieza's family works, destroyed him with the same energy blast In alternate future, he was killed by Goku.

South City civilians : Killed by Android 19 and Dr. Android 19 : Killed by Vegeta. Only his head remained. Gero : Killed by Android As the mad scientist also known as Android 20 tried to stop 17 and 18 from activating Android 16 , 17 kicked his head off. The head was still alive, so 17 stomped on it, crushing it. Note: Furthermore, no other notable people were killed during this Saga, though definitely many people are killed by Androids 19 and 20 in South City , and at least 5 people are unintentionally killed by Vegeta during his fight with Android Present Cell : Killed by Krillin and Future Trunks using energy waves while he was still in larval form inside his test tube.

Untold thousands killed and absorbed by alternate timeline Cell. Note: many people are killed by Cell as he absorbs random people to build up his powers. Were later revived by the Dragon Balls. No named characters die during the Perfect Cell Saga, though many people are killed when Cell blows up some inhabited islands in search of Android Android Body destroyed by Cell using an energy blast, but his head was still alive.

He may have been revived with the Dragon balls, but was never seen afterward. Being as Android 16 was entirely mechanical, it is unknown if the revival would have worked on him.

He is revived several years later when Old Kai gives him his life. Goku using instant transmission to teleport Cell and himself, just before Cell explodes, killing Goku and those on King Kai's planet. Android Killed when Cell self destructed, as he was still inside Cell at the time. Note: The wish was made to revive everyone on Earth who was killed by Cell, and 17 died on King Kai's planet.

This can be argued that his being absorbed on Earth affected whether he was considered to have died on Earth, as his absorption led to his death. Future Trunks: Killed by Cell with a beam through the chest. Cell: Killed by Gohan. Gohan and Cell entered a beam struggle with the Father-Son Kamehameha and Solar Kamehameha respectively, and Cell was about to win when Vegeta hit him with an energy ball, allowing Gohan to overpower Cell, completely destroying him.

Future Android 18 : Killed in Future Trunks' timeline. Future Trunks shot an energy blast at her face, point blank. Future Android 17 : Killed in Future Trunks' timeline. Kibito : Killed by Dabura. Dabura shot him in the face with an energy blast, point blank. Pui Pui: Killed by Vegeta. Even on his home planet, Planet Zoon, with ten times Earth's gravity , Vegeta still had the upper hand, and, after a quick beating, vaporized the evil henchman with an energy blast to the chest, point blank.

Yakon : Ate too much of Goku's light energy, causing him to get bigger and fatter until he exploded. Dabura: Killed by Innocent Buu. The pink blob turned the king of demons into a gigantic cookie and ate him, thus turning all his victims that he turned to stone back to normal. When he turned up in Other World, King Yemma turned him good and sent him to Heaven, as he would have enjoyed Hell too much.

Vegeta: Blew himself up in an attempt to destroy Majin Buu. Buu was blown to bits, but came back together. Vegeta, meanwhile, was turned to stone by the force of his attack, and fell to the ground and disintegrated until there was not a shred of him left.

Marvin: Killed by Babidi. The World Tournament judge gave Babidi the names of who he was seeking Trunks , Goten , and Piccolo , but Babidi was not interested in their names and made his head explode.

Babidi: Killed by Majin Buu. Buu decided he had had enough of Babidi's abuse, so he grabbed him by the throat and punched his head off, then destroyed his headless body. Van Zant : Killed by Evil Buu. The first thing Evil Buu did when he appeared was to vaporize the deranged gunman with a Guilty Flash energy wave.

However, he dies while trying to take down King Piccolo with the Evil Containment Wave, a technique that traps demons. The technique is very dangerous and difficult and Roshi failed in the process, thereby dying. He is later resurrected thanks to a Dragon Ball wish. Roshi is another of the good people from the Dragon Ball franchise who was transformed into chocolate and then consumed by Super Buu during the Fusion Saga.

Master Roshi, and many of his friends, were brought back to life when the Namekian Dragon Balls were used to revive everyone killed after the martial arts tournament in Kid Buu Saga.

This arrogant prince has died more times than he'd care to admit. He first died at the hand of Frieza, who beat him up and then gave him a Death Beam through the chest when he wouldn't shut up about Frieza losing to Goku.

But he came back when the Dragon Balls revived him. Vegeta's second death was even more noble. He blows himself up when he tries to destroy Majin Buu. However, this sacrifice turned out to be in vain as the bitty Buu simply reformed and went back to his destruction. Vegeta wasn't as lucky, becoming stone and disintegrating. This time he was brought back by the Namekian Dragon Balls. In the future, like many other characters on this list, Vegeta was killed by Android 17 in the Future Trunks' timeline.

So Vegeta died three times, and was revived twice, but thankfully still lives on in the series, thanks to alternate timelines. The twin of Android 18, Android 17 has faced death a lot more times: four specifically, with only two resurrections.

The first time he gets killed is when Cell self-destructs on King Kai's planet. At the time he self-destructs, Android 17 was trapped inside of Cell.

But he gets revived, along with everyone on Earth killed who was killed by Cell, due to a wish made on the Dragon Balls. He also dies when Kid Buu blows up the Earth but gets resurrected by the Namekian Dragon Balls along with the rest of the population. Android 17 also died two times in alternate realities at the hands of Future Trunks.

When Trunks returns, he knocks Android 17 down and blows him up using his energy wave. Gero's old plans. Remember Yamcha? Yeah, he's died three times over the course of Dragon Ball and managed to come back twice. Two out of three ain't bad, right? He first dies when one of the Saibaimen, the creatures created by a Saiyan scientist and released by Nappa, jumps on him and then self-destructs. He is eventually brought back with the Namekian Dragon Balls. The next time Yamcha dies is on Kami's Lookout.

He is one of several characters there who are turned into chocolate and eaten by Majin Buu. Everyone, including Yamcha, returns later thanks to the Namekian Dragon Balls. Gotta love those. Future Yamcha apparently died two different ways thanks to inconsistencies between the anime and the History of Trunks special. In the anime, he gets killed by an energy wave to his stomach from the Androids. However, the History of Trunks special instead shows him dying from a kick to the neck.

A skillful fighter, Tien still manages to die three times over the course of the series. He first dies when he tries to avenge his best friend Chiaotzu's death to Nappa.

He uses all his energy in a Tri-Beam attack that he fires at Nappa.
